Default a little help please...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am currently running 3.73 gears with 28" M/t drags with a 3500 stall and th400. How much time could i possibly knock off in the 1/8th mile and off my 60' time if i switched to 4.10 and 26" or even 4.33 gears? Unfortunatley my car doesnt make any torque off the bottle, so 1.9 60' have been haunting me and I leave off of a transbrake!!! Also, is it possible for my O2 sensors to be bad even though im not showing a check engine light? When i mean bad. i mean could it possibly be dumping in too much or too little fuel at idel? I've been running 112 leaded gas for three years now through o2 sensors. any help would be awesome guys.

i can't really help you with that first part, but yes you're o2 sensors can be bad and your OBD1 computer will not throw a code until they are pretty much totally dead .

Yea OBD1 isn't as sensitive. Dropping tire diameter, as well as rim diameter will help. I'd say ditch the TH400. They suck more power than the 350 or 700R4/4L60/4L60E. (700R4 and 4L60 are the same)

WOW! Something is really wrong here. I'm pulling 1.9 60' times on street tires. The o2's are more than likely shot. I just replaced mine and I had no check engine light or anything but they were done. The 26"tall tire is a good idea but the gear ratio depends on what else you have done.

I have allways gone 26" tire with 3.73 and 28" tire with 4.10s. Just what seems to work on average, i have tried to use a 26" with a 4.30 and a 4.56 and it just bust them loose. Depends on overall mods, some sizes work better for others. Just gotta try them out.
