Default LT4 intake on LT1

is it possible at all. the guy next door to me is selling his LT4 intake to me cheap. he had it on his lt1 but wasnt sure if the engine builder milled the heads or the intake to make everything match up. if it turns out they didnt mill anything and just slapped it on, is it a big differents in runner heigth?

a few months back I had a thread with pics side by side someone posted.
the runner openings at the gasket are the same LT1/LT4 but the LT4 intake has extra material above the port for ability of matching the taller head port of an LT4 head. From the factory, the ports are not aligned up top.
If I recall - about 1/8" difference. It is red on purpose - for GM workers to see the difference at a glance. The LT4 intake is cast different regarding the runners themselves - but no real gain without all matching components.
I have an LT1 intake on LT4 heads - want to pass the deal my way?

The ports and plenum are the same as the LATE LT1 intakes, those who say it is different probably compared to earlier intakes, think there are about 5 different castings.

Here is the picture GIZMO was good enough to share some time back.

If an LT4 intake is milled to fit LT1 heads then it is just a red LT1 intake, if LT1 heads are milled too accept the LT4 intake then that is just pointless.
