well since i am now parting it and not selling it as a whole, prob be easier to disassemble it in the car and pull just block and transmission lol. Ive pulled from top so many times, only wanted to do from bottom so that I could sell the engine as a whole. Thanks

i would still pull it from the bottome..getting the headers and heads ect off is a sinch outa the car...im just telling you it would save tons of time...pulling the whole thin out the bottom only about 2 in a half hours...disassember it completely maybe an hour

Since the heads were milled the intake manifold bolt holes wouldnt line up. So we had to do alittle "fabricating"

Did the intake ports line up correctly? To do that properly you need to mill the intake.

the heads were only milled .010. you know until now i never thought of it that way. you do make a good point. although im not tooo worried about it, because i feel the car is making great power. it put down 382 rwhp 368 rwtq through a loose stalled slipping auto (which broke the same day as the dyno tune), 3:73 gears, stock injectors, unported intake, and blowing out the spark in the upper rpms.

its stayin right where its at. .010 of an inch isnt that much of a difference. it was just become hard to screw in some of the bolts, and i didnt want to strip/crossthread them into the heads. the intake ports line up with the runners of the heads just fine. the only time the intake will come back off is if i get it ported.

so those are LT1 heaeds? I was thining maybe you put some diff. heads on there.

the port job does look awesome though.

oh yeah, I still way DEF. now pull it from the bottom if you dont have to worry bout putting it back together. seriously dude, the headers/intake/heads/whatever is right there on a platter for you to dissasemble and you'll have it done in no time compared to in the car.
