High Idle? Check engine light?

High Idle? Check engine light? well i was sitting at a light one day and i felt and heard this vibration under the car. I thought it was my exhuast and so i took off and the car didnt want to shift to second gear. it would hold 1st gear as if i was driving a stick. the check engine light came on and the idle went up really high to 1500 RPM, I checked all the vacuum lines but they are all connected? what could it be?
code 22 is TPS signal voltage low
code 33 is MAP sensor voltage high, low vacuum.
For the TPS, check your signal wire and see what the reading are at idle, WOT, and anywhere in between.
For the MAP, take it off and clean it up. I had that code once. It was just a dirty MAP sensor.

well, i would start like said above, check voltages at the two... the tps should be around 5v on signal, but vary through the throttle blade position... map, you could get a handheld vacuum pump and go from there. my personal opinion, being the two are from the same wire loom, i would check for wiring issues after it is all said and done... and also, get a vacuum gauge and make sure the vacuum is right to the map. check that stuff out, and re-post

MAP wont affect how the car runs, thats just there for diag purposes on the MAF LT1s. Id check out the TPS first

Well i just replaced the TPS last month................Well i took the TPS off and returned it to KRAGEN they gave me a new one, and also i replaced the MAP sensor, the car runs fine now, The car idle's alot smoother now than before i think the MAP was bad before the TPS went out. I had a coolant leak out of the top heater hose and it soaked the TPS and MAP sensor so i think thats what caused it. thanks for all your help.

Verdad Gallardo It doesn't matter if it's SD or not. SD needed to look at TPS, MAP, and RPM to make a guess on how much air is coming in. Just because it's not SD and there is a MAF involved, doesn't mean the MAP isn't used anymore. The MAP still monitors engine load to calculate spark timing and injector pulse width.
