Default is this the opti (please help)

ok i have a 94 firehawk i can drive it about 7-10 miles fine then it will all of a sudden jerk(miss really bad) the check engine light will come on and it starts running allitle better. i have replaced the ign. coil, and tested the ign. control module, so the only thing i can think of is the opti. It shot codes (36) ign. system prob. loss of high Res. pulse signal. and also code (42) ign. system prob. elec. spark timing (EST) is grounded.

please let me know what you think my prob is thanks

Sounds like to me it could be the module. I have a 92 gmc truck that would start up cold and run, but i get 10 miles down the road it dies. then it cranks and cranks it wont start . Wait 10 to 20 minutes then boom fires back up and does the same thing all over. I talked to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he told me to change the ignition module. Over time and lots of mileage the ignition module breaks down due to heat and they develop a thermal problem. So I changed it and bam the truck runs great now. Now I know the module between the lt-1 and the gmc truck is different but it sounds like you might be dealing with the same problem. Food for thought.
Or IT's the opti but if you have high mileage replace them both!!

ltcc is not going to fix the high res error.

You still need the working signal part of the opti.
