Gotta pull out my throttle body to give it a nice cleaning as well as my iac valve. Went to local auto parts shop for some gasket paper for when I put the throttle body back in. Wasnt sure what size to get, a friend was working who tends to know what he is talking about and said just to use the cardboard from a cereal box. Sounded easy and figured I could save a couple bucks, anyone try this?

It works, but whats wrong with the real TB gasket? Unless this is for the IAC "plate". Then I guess cardboard would be OK.

yeah for the iac "plate" which is why it sounded like it could work.

It should work. I've made a bunch of carb gaskets that worked fine, only I used twelve pack beer cartons.
