lifter noise??
Just recentely I changed the cam, timing chain, all valvetrain and lifers and now I'm getting lifter noise. Did I not get my valve lash tight enough?? They are GM 1.6 RR with there springs. The lifters were Sealed Power from Napa. It kinda comes and goes???

I had similar issues but I used the method I had always used with no problems before. Basically I just went back over them and put another 1/8 turn on the nuts and seemed to cure it all up. I used the spin the pushrod method and had a 1/4 past 0 on them total. If you've never had roller rockers before, they are very noisy even when setup correctly.

not really, the only difference is just using a guide plate for the pushrods vs having the rocker arms align themself. look for the lightest rocker arm, less mass=less sound. im using harland sharp rocker arms, they still make noise but i can not find anything lighter.

Right, I understand. With the NSA setup, you've added friction with the pushrods touching the guideplates. Granted that probably doesn't make any noise, but there's no way that setup can be quieter.

lifter noise
Well I think I'll just go back over them and just turn them another 1/8" turn. And no I don't have the LT4 Knock modual. I haven't had any other problems or a check eng. light?
