retune??
retune?? when i sent my computer off to be tuned by Ed Wright, the cam that was in the motor was 230/236 .545/.555 and has since been changed to the cc306 cam. which from what i understand has a good bit of difference, i think i read 230/244. im sure someone knows the exact specs. but i was just wondering if i need to have it retuned. or i guess i should say, im lined up to get on the dyno, is there any power to be gained from tuning the computer from the first cam to the 306? i know it depends on the tuner and such but lets just say its a reputable tuner.

Depends on the time frame, but some places offer a big discount for a re-tune. I think one place offers as many as you want during a 6mo period for $80 a re-tune.
thanks but thats not really my question. the money is not really an issue since the tune is free, since i spent so much money at their shop they're paying the tuner to come and dyno tune. im just trying to see if there are adjustments for cam specs in tuning. obviously there are some, just dont know how much.
I would think the more its properly tuned for the cam the more power your gonna make...the tune will prob work fine as it is..but will not be as efficient at a proper tune will be...kinda like wearing a shoe with no laces and wearing one tied tight...yeah your foot will flop around but you can still walk in it...one thats tied will let you run without tripping you up...weird analogy but you get the point
