I use to have an LS1 lid setup and a SSRA, worked simliar to Madmans big gulp but not as big. Madman uses aluminum b/c its light as hell and disapates heat rapidly.

Default Big Gulp ! ? ! ?

haha.. neat idea but, here in NEFL we've been seeing so much rain lately that 12"+ deep puddles aren't uncommon... That would SURELY be a hell of a gulp slamming into it with that thing... hehe....

As for the radiator... its still getting air from under the car coming up the air damn. That spot where you see the metal is normally blocked off by all plastic anyway I thought.

Yeah.... My car is too freakin low with these Sportline springs, I don't have my air dam anymore. I need to raise my car up and put that thing on.

I have the SLP Cold Air Intake, not sure if I want to keep it or look for a Ram Air box since I have the hood..

looks like the air dam is still in place.. so the air that goes under the car goes up to the radiator, and the air that hits the front end goes into the intake

I'm going to do this, did anyone end up giving it a try or will I pioneer it?

Do a LS1 setup with the custom ram air, best setup you can do

Why **** with a vette intake just to be different? Makes no sense

Because it digs down deeper into the airflow under the car. Makes perfect sense if you learn to think outside the box.

Thinking about it more, I would think you'd need to get about a 4" extension pipe to give it enough room to go in front of the radiator and ac condenser. Still would be iffy due to the hood latch.

exactely, the ls1 lid still gets air up top. Where the corvette one weill sit a lot lower into the bumper cover and get colder air for sure, no way around it. And for my car only, there wouldnt be much to mod to get it to work where as the ls1 lid, ill have to cut everything up to get it to sit low enough to clear my hood.

My car was 3,000 with me in it, and I drove it all over the place

Unless you took out your crash bars, wich in that case I wouldnt be driving it on the street then

yea, everything is gone but thats not the reason. I did a LOT to the car and the closest track to me is 2 hours away. So if i break something its gonna cost A LOT!! to get a tow home. I drive it everywhere if im cruising it around but when i go to the trakc and go for gold, im not risking it. So trailoring it is.
