borla vs magnaflow
Ive got a Magnaflow cat back with Pacesetter LT'S and ORY. I love it. It's only a little louder than stock at idle but when you put your foot down it is loud and mean! Quieter at low rpms can be a good thing if you have police in the area that target cars with loud exhaust.
BASED ON THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY THAT PUSHED FOR THE Magnaflow...I respectfully ask how the Borla takes the win on this one? At least a dozen people voted Magnaflow with a handfull that said both are good, so in my opinion that also credits Magnaflow and only a few that liked the Borla. Having personally heard both systems I still have to say Magnaflow Again.

In my sig is a vid of my 383 with the same exhaust.
Right now I have the Pacesetter LTs with a 3" H-pipe and 2 dynomax bullets dumped before the rear. This winter I'm getting my heads redone, and doing a D-1SC, Hooker longtubes, and Borla catback.

Borla kit = $600 - $800
Magnaflow kit = $300 - $400
Either of the kits is available to him for $200-ish.
If he doesn't like it he can sell the Borla, break even if not get more than what he paid for and get a new Magnaflow kit. Heck, the dual square Borla tips alone sell for like $130 retail.
Bang for the buck, aye?

Borla hands down. Only thing magnaflow has over borla is the price. Personally you get what you pay for. I am so very happy with my pacetter LT's through the borla. Sounds like a vette, nice deep idle but when i get on it, it has a high pitch scream. And man does it ****** scream 
heres my setup... larger than average cam, heads, pacesetter LTs and a borla (wide open)
this is ******* loud. some people dont like it. at the shop i work at we do primarily magnaflows, which are relatively tame (while being thraoted and deep) at idle, but sound mean as hell at higher rpms
