Gas smell is getting bad!

OK I have been trying to find the culprit to this problem. I get strong gas odor inside the car. There are no leaks and I removed all emissions and turned them off via the pcm. I'm not for sure but does this car (94 Z) have a charcoal canister? If so where in the hell is it? And could it be bad or going bad or am I completely looking for the wrong thing??

Do you still have a cat? I gutted mine, and put headers on, and now it smells.

I had a fuel filter with a slight leak one time, it would never drip to the ground when i looked, but would stay on top of the frame rail. You could have never been able to tell by laying underneath it, actually noticed it when it was on the lift gettin' ready for some exhaust.

No cat, Lts, and no air pump. It seems to be the worst when the tank gets below 1/4. I've been under the car while it's running and even ran my hand around the filter, completely dry???? Also thought it could be a purge solenoid but I have it unplugged so who knows? I still think it might be a charcoal canister if I can find it.....

You can always detect a gas leak it by using a lighter when your car blows up you know you have found it...

Or you can check the clamps on the hose going to the gas tank, worst case you may have to replace the "O" ring on the fuel sending unit... thats my 2 cents
