I just put a new cam in my 2000 camaro, and was wondering if my old ZO6 cam will fit in my moms 95 impala without anything new? other than probably some new valve springs, is it as easy as the LS1?

 

Since the LT1 has a different fireing order then the LS1/LS6 I don't think it will work. You would have valves opening at the wrong time.

wont work for numerous reasons. the zo6 has no dowel pin to turn the optispark. also, the z06 has a different firing order. also, the valve train geometry is a lot different, would have to modify the valvetrain considerably for it. there are many other reasons, i just cant think of them off the top of my head, just got back in from work, sorry. long story short, no, it wont work.

 

not just no but hell no it wont work
the ls1 cams are much larger in size than the lt1 cams
lt1 cams will fit a sbc with no problem
but since the ls1 cams have larger journals and they dont have the gear in the back to turn the oil pump......they wont fit.
