Trany Slipping!!!
Trany Slipping!!! Quick question. My tran. is slipping and its only on wot, i checked the trans fluid and it looked nothing like trans fluid it had a brownish look. So i wanted to change the fluid and i went to a couple shops and they said they dont recommend it that by changing it i might just mess it up completely. So right now i im clueless. Any suggestions and opinions? Thanks.
Yeah. Change fluid and trans, hope it solves it or at least gives it a little more life.... but be prepared for the truth, which is your trans needs to be rebuilt. Have a performance build done, stock rebuilds won't last and aren't much cheaper anyway.
Oh yeah... and I mean a performance build by a sponsor intimately familiar with the 4L60E, not by the cheapest loacl tran shop. The 4l60E is NOT 'just like any other trans' when it comes to meaningful mods that let it survive. (Hint... anyone who suggests a shift kit as your solution to 4L60e performance is clueless.)
