Car is breaking up and misfiring...

Car is breaking up and misfiring... I just put the motor in a week ago and i only have about 250 miles on it. It was driving fine for about 3 days and then one day after class it was misfiring really bad. It feels like it might be running on 7 cylinders or something.
This happens in open and closed loop, through the whole rpm band, and its SLIGHTLY noticable at idle. I cleaned the MAF, put in new plugs gapped at 35, and checked for arcing under the hood. It also smells rich sine this has been going on. The opti is less than a year old and i have an MSD coil that is from 2001.
Can you guys give me any ideas? Im lost here and i need to figure this out so i can continue to break this motor in.

Im about 90% sure its a wire. Im going to go buy some cheap autolite and see what happens. I should know in about an hour or so. I hope its not an issue with the cylinder or something, hell it was running fine last wed!
