Will 12" Brakes Clear 16" Rims?

Will 12" Brakes Clear 16" Rims?

I'm plan on putting in a 99+ rear (snapped an axle at the rim when I tanked the curb, don't ask lol) and they use 12" discs. I feel silly asking, since ours are 11.7", but I'd really rather know than not, and be effed when I get it and then don't have rims to put on heh.

I think they will cuz lots of LS1 cars came out with 16" wheels. I have (I think) 13" rotors with Baer calipers on the front of my car and they will not clear 16" rims.

That's a good point, and I didn't even think of that. The site I am thinking of getting a new rear from, lists all 98+ with 12", so that would include the 16" rimed cars.

Cool beans.

I just got a Ship est from that site.... $250 (freight)

Guess I'll be checking local salv-yards :\ Shame since this site is specifically F-Body part outs. I was thinking around $100, since freight is usually really cheap.

hahah The story is not on the net.

Short: Showing off my car to an only import person (has a VW, so not TOO import) and was under the influence of Beer-Pong. At the T intersection at the end of the block, I whipped a bitch and swung the rear to far. THWACK the curb, spun out. Figured "*****, that'll leave a mark". It left me three-wheelin with the cops arriving -_- The guy who passed called them. Me in the intersection putting my rim and tire in the back. I blew past the mark, but I think the guy felt sorry and let me go with a verbal warning *phew*
