Default First suspension mod

I am looking into getting my first suspension mod this week so i can hook better at the track.. I did a search and I came to the conclusion that the best first mod for traction would be sub frame connectors.

My question to you guys.. what brand and type of SFC should i get.. I'm on a budget so i dont know if i should get some cheap SFC's and some cheap LCA's or start with some good SFC's.. I'd like to pay less than 250..

what brand and type do you guys suggest for >250

Get both. TPiS, a sponsor even, has the SFC for around $150 and the LCA for $125. Or there abouts, I was just on their site last night and checked out all their FBody stuff. I was amazed how cheap they sell Energy Suspension bushings. I know where I"ll go for the ones from my 91 that don't work on my 93.

If you want better traction I'd get LCA's first, then a Torque Arm, maybe LCA brackets, Subframes, Panhard in that order

yes all of that stuff would be great.. but i can afford one MAYBE two mods right now.. thats why I did a search and they claim SFC are the best.. so you think LCA's should be first?.. also if i were to get LCA's do i have to get relocation brackets??

First suspension mod I did back when I had my LT1 trans am was front control arm bushings made of polyurathane. Front suspension did get a little stiffer.

If you want traction get LCA's and the relocation brackets hands down. The torque arm would be nice to but it is out of your budget. The SFC will stiffen your car up and possibly help with traction but not as much as the LCA and brackets. I can see SFC stiffening everything up and transferring weight better since the car won't be twisting but nothing more than that. SFC will also keep your rear fenders from getting those dimples from racing so often.

relocation brackets first (as long as your buchings arent bad causing wheel hop or anything...) then lca's...then prolly tq arm...then sway bar...sfc arent needed for traction if you want the car not to twist look for sway bar in the drag racing tech and the pics i posted of joe overtons trans am...simply put frame wists because of sucky sway bar

get LCA's and relocation brackets first, easy install and some serious differences can be made from this upgrade.
