My Edelbrock intake is sitting around but no way in hell am I going to install it then head off to the dyno. I might install it some day but there will be other things done at the same time. I'll sell it cheap to the highest bidder

Black is who I've been referring to this whole time, for those who don't know.

And Cap, I know you think we're all children and idiots, but I'm not praising the intake because Edelbrock makes it, which you seemingly think is the case.

Most people plugging the Edelbrock are doing it solely on name and are ASSuming it is an upgrade.

Skepticism is a good thing, if more of you were capable of it there would not be so much clear garbage on the market like Granatelli and Hypertech.

I would still be interested in seeing ported vs ported results but we don't have them. I'm running my stocker til the motor has to come apart regardless of any type of result. (That's my disclaimer if you think I'm gonna hop on the wagon and buy the Edelbrock.)

Thats what I would like to see ported v. ported

I would buy one if they were cheaper simply for the thicker mounting flange it probably distributes the load of the bolts better and therefore less leaks.

being skeptical and a naysayer are two different things

The only *** here is you, and everyone knows that

I don't think Edel is some godly company, as you clearly think I do. I don't even like most of their products. I do think the air gaps are a nice design for a multitude of reasons. It keeps the majority of the intake away from the motor so it should keep it a bit cooler. And as I've previously said, if you're running at the track, you can put some ice, or dry ice, there to cool it down further. It's not like I expect tons of air to pass through it while driving to cool it down.

You're just way to pessimistic. Not to mention insulting of many things, not to mention your fellow forum members. Sorry we're not all knowing car gods like you.

And Cap'm, you're Captain Cap is Caprice, but still Cap.
