Default headers "looking for the caps to block the air system"

where can i get cap for the headers . i heared it was a m22 cap but no one sells metric caps,

i got mine at ace hardware they are just brass plugs and they work great

I got frustrated looking for the metric plugs and ended up forcing in some standard plugs with a little jb weld for good measure. I called every hardware and auto parts store in my area and no one carried anything that large in metric sizes.

Make sure you get an Inverted flare pipe cap.

I just recently did this and I couldn't find a metric plug anywhere. Checked out Lowes, Home Depot, Advance Auto, and Ace hardware. I ended up getting a standard brass plug with a square head from Ace hardware. I cross-threaded it in with RTV on the threads. It felt like it wasn't even cross-threading cause it went in soothly.

what size standard did you guys use 1/2 or 3/4's

I can't remeber now. I took one of the air fittings in the hardware store and bought the one that was closest in size.

I've seen it done on a friend's car. It didn't leak to my knowledge. I never did this mod, I've had LT's for a long time.

3/4's if I remember correctly. Take the air tube with you.

I couldn't find a bolt wide enough. Anything that large is considered a pipe plug.

Search there on "air system block off plugs".

I just got 2 oil drain plugs from a 1997 Dodge Cummings diesel and they popped right on.

i took a penny and braised it on the end of the screw that is connects to ur AIR system i just cut the tube

if you have headers that arnt coated you can weld them shut, thats what I did with my old headers, then the LTs I ordered with out them on there.
