Obd1 Obd2
If you mean the computer, 93 is alone with having an ECM instead of a PCM. They don't require much for software to tune, but you need to have whatever file you do make up, burned to a new EPROM and then install it (burners run $100~). The 94+ are PCM, and they have EEPROMs that you tune via a laptop, but the software for that I believe is like $300+, and you need a computer, as well as a ALDL cable ($60+). Most people prefer the OBD1 systems, and there are quite a few OBD2 people that convert to OBD1.
The main advantage of obd2 is if you live in an emissions area, it is much easier to pass inspection.
Curious if others have heard this also?
Ive been looking for a deal on an OBDI to prove it right or wrong.
