Well, i do two things, 1: find out where it smacks the rev limiter,2: feel where the power begins to level out and or fall off. Then i kina make that my shift point. I have taken my new motor only to 6250 because it is new, i think it should go 6700 or so. Good luck with finding that magic shift point, it is key to consistancy.

First you have to find out how far off the stock tach is...mine is 150 rpm off,at the track I have tried many different points but the one that seems to work the best is...right where the tach goes to redline which is about 5700 I shift...which is about 5550 to 5600 I used to let the stock setup shift it at about 5300 and I was running 14.10 to 14.20 and not consistant at all...which was about .4 to .5 slower than shifting a few hundreths higher.
