How to identify LT4 Hotcam?

How to identify LT4 Hotcam? Anyone know any ways off hand? I do not have a stock LT1 cam here to compare it to. I got this motor and was told it had a hot cam in it, and I can tell the cam has been changed. The cam is much newer than anything else looks in the motor. I have never had one though and do not know how to identify it.Thanks folks

On the end that faces the cam plug is just has a number 5. On the front, not where the timing sprocket bolts on but AROUND the camshaft itself, between where the fuel pump lobe would be and the first lobe it has numbers and dots etched all the way around as follows:
42.GMPT.BC.17...242.
I think the "42" is the starting point but its hard for me to tell being that this wrapped all the way around the shaft and I am not familiar with hot cams.
I haven't torn down the rest of the motor but it has a bad bearing problem and needs rebuilt. I got it off my buddy and he mentioned the guy that sold the came this motor came in told him it had a hot cam, I figure if it really does and I can save it that means more free mods for my vert
The cam is in great shape. Just need to figure out what it is.
