I will definately register before the deadline. Not sure what class I will be in yet though, depends on if the heads and cam are installed. Or I may just leave the 165k motor in and go for the slow class.

That deadline is over. The contract had to be signed to reserve that date. Looks like the race will happen.

I found out about an article that ran in Car Craft this month about the LT1. It was just about the background and the ins and outs of the platform. Anyway, they ask for people to post on the website to express interest in the magazine doing a LT1 build up. I went and posted of coarse. I was sure to mention the shootout and suggested they do a car for the shootout. Hopefully this can drum up some extra attention and interest in the race.

Ok...so far we have 21 registered for the event. We also have 18 people that have tried to register but never finished the registration process....basically got through everything but the paying portion. Those 18 will not show up as registered until they pay and get a confirmation #. Remember if you do not have PayPal you can still click pay now and pay with a credit card.

Lets keep registering!

Thank you all!

Tony Shepherd and the LTX Shootout crew.

Tony, I am still waiting for confirmation from the companies I spoke with you about for sponsorship. Just wanted to keep in touch and let ya know I'm still plugging away at it.

As for me, converter should be in the car by Jan. and hopefully I can get some low 1.80s of this stock suspended *****, and maybe get into the 12.9s N/A. I hope I have enough time to get used to launching a converter car consistently so I can make some rounds in that bracket class! Anyone else plan on running brackets? I need to get my *** in gear and go pre-register, lol. I keep forgetting.
