Price for LT1??
The OP didn't say what his ultimate goals are, but the LT1 is going to be hard beat for the money unless he is shooting for a pretty high level. If he's looking for a basic 11 to 12 second bracket car, a well thought out cam only LT1 combo in a light car will get him there with room to spare.
Not all the time. I have had some pretty good luck so far. The only difference so far is the 470rwhp with the nitrous and trying to spray through 3rd. Solved that by not spraying through the shift to buy me some time.
My oppinion is build a high compression 383 (forged) of course
, and build it to the gill. Also put a 12 bolt in the car and a TH350 or 400 and build it strong.... If it's gonna see some highway driving go with a built 4l60E and hope it holds....You don't wanna spare any money on the 4l60E though (Just My Oppinion) There are several companies that build awesome transmissions. FLT is just 1 of them. And Lloyd Elliot is a guy who can help point you in the right direction as well as alot of other people on this site....Good Luck...... James
