Center Console Question?

Center Console Question? Does anyone know if a '98-up center console will fit in a 95? I like the look of the center consoles in the LS1 Formula and Trans Am. Since I'm doing a 6-speed swap, I figured I'd check before I bought one.
I've seen some discussions on the Camaro center consoles but not the Firebirds.

I did mine, but I had a problem with the way it fit. There was a tab that caused my console to stick up too high. The console came out of a 98 and I put it in my 94. It only sticks up about a half inch in the back.(near the back seats) But it looks great.
The metal hole needs to be made larger to accommodate the new center console. Takes 10 secs with a dremel.

Revelation Z28: Thats what I initially did, but then my console sat ****-eyed so I had to shim it with a few washers to get it to sit straight.... but it looks pretty good in there. and actually has a few cup holders

and i need a gap filler for the dash for my gauges.
