oil filter housing thing

The housing the oil filter goes on that actully bolts to the block is that just a oil filter gasket on it or is that a different type of seal??

yep! i checked at the dealer and they wanted $14 for that same gasket that you can rip off of an oil filter at autozone. i have an oil cooler from the factory, as you are describing, you do too.

yea i always thought that was really wierd cause it had coolant running too it so I was wtf is this thing, ill just gank a filter from work. Thanks man

oil it before installing it. i had the same leak youre having(if you have a leak there). make sure its clean on both sides too after you take it off the filter.
