Hell if you going to spend that kind of money for those engines. Why dont we all just go BBC.Cheaper to build streetable and they make more power when built right..

Im not trying to build a monster track car here, its my hobby and i have fun with it and i want to get as much power out of it without dropping serious coin on building an engine.

450 to the wheels N/A.probably not going to happen.400 possible You should look into heads cam packages from LPE,A.I,Port Pro's,or Lloyd Elliot. There seems to be plenty of satisfied costomers running around. There's more places then what i reccomend i just dont remember all of them.

Call LPE, they will get you there! If you want a reliable proven setup, LPE will do just that! They are little pricey, but worth it. They do wonders on stock heads, and have some great custom grind cams(proven combos)! Bottom line, LPE is the best in the world when it comes to gm performance! Hell they work with GM!!!

450rwhp is reachable. but you may need to be thinking about solid roller soon after that if you want more without nitrous.

That's unrealistic. You would need to stroke it and probably go solid roller to make that power. 400 is reasonable (and a good result) with a heads and cam package on a stock bottom end.

Advanced Induction is your best bet.

Most stock bottom ends are not gonna last long at the RPM needed to see 450 RWHP. It CAN happen if you have the right complimenting parts and attention to detail but the average guy is never gonna see that kinda HP from a stock bottom end and the few that see thesekinda RWHP #'s on a stock bottom end are living on borrowed time as far as engine life.

There are some freak bottom ends out there living at 6500-6800 RPM (some even higher) but they are the exception more than the rule.

Instead of chasing HP #'s and ending up with a blown up bottom end or a cam that has a RPM range too high to be fun to drive with your gear, stall, weight, etc, it is usually best to contact the people you chose to do the work, get the heads with the best parts you can afford and have them design a cam that will produce a TQ curve that will accelerate the car the best with your gear/stall/weight and allow the stock bottom end to have a chance of living.

Most stock bottom end 450 RWHP set ups will first of all need ALL the complimenting parts from air intake to tail pipe that do not rob HP and the car will need to have 3.73/4.11 gears and a 3600+ stall along with some weight reduction to run well.

You can give the same heads and cam to 10 different people and you will get 10 different dyno results depending on each customers list of complimenting parts and attention to detail. Same thing with track results. iIt is all about the customers attention to detail and willingness to make the car fast at the track.

Whomever you go with just remember not to get too caught up in dyno numbers...You'd laugh at what my dyno numbers are...Find folks who go fast and pick their brains...I had my LT1 heads that were originally ported by LPE in 1995 re-ported by E.B. Porting (Eric Bradby) in VA in 2005...Joe Overton's porter, and have been thrilled with the results..I run a Joe Overton Spec'd weenie cam and am very satisfied with something that I can and have driven everyday...Getting hung up on dyno numbers is a BIG mistake...

You can also roll the dice and get a heads/cam package with 350/370 rwhp and spray a 150 on top of that. That will get you where you wanna go, lol. My car weighs nothing, big cam, big gears and stall and spray.... well see where that gets me. But i also dont care that much if i blow my motor, its my toy to play with.
