Adjusting the valves

Adjusting the valves I just put on a set of stock heads on my SS. It's running well but the rockers need to be adjusted because of the racket they are making. On the old SBC's we did it with the car running. Is it the same way with LT1's?

I've heard/read about at least 2 or more that did it that way so I think you can.
(with the car off) - I use a starter button and just tap it to spin the crank/cam around for each valve to close and do the "till the pushrod wont spin + 1/4 turn".
