lt1 swap help?(harness config.)
lt1 swap help?(harness config.) I've got my LT1 in my 78' Malibu. The thing is that the Lt1's harness has wires for all the accessories that go with it but I'm trying to figure out what to do with my Malibus factory harness in order for it to work in conjunction with the Lt1's harness. As of now I have the engine spinning when I turn the key on but none of my dash gauges are connected to the engines sensors. Does it mean having to run fresh wires or what?
i also have a 78 bu and i just finished a lt1 swamp in a rx7 ,check out this site it breaks down all the lt1 harness whires , with the rx7 i had to use the mazda senders and splice them to the lt1 , u may have to get a malibu service manual to find the correct whires i wasnt much help but it should point u towards the right direction
