Melling 10554 Select Pump

I just bought this one after hearing all the stuff about the m55 series casting...what pickup do I use with this? will a melling 3/4 work from the m55 series on the select pumps?

I'de call melling up or whoever makes your oil pan. I know I'm going to have to run a high volume pickup with the 10554 pump with my canton oil pan. And Melling reccomends using a different driveshaft than the one that comes with the pump, I couldn't find their upgraded driveshaft on summit so I just went with the ARP one.

the good driveshaft comes with the select pumps, im just using a stock pan but the pickup i have with is a 155s melling 3/4 seems impossible to push into the pump

No it doesn't, here's what melling said to me... "No, the shaft in the box is the standard IS-55E that was in earlier production pumps."
