Default WTB: TCI Internal Flexpate - One piece seal

Anyone have one they arent using they would part with? Putting a convertor in and want to go ahead and upgrade the flexplate.

I will be pulling out a SFI wheel that is out of date.

You can pick them up for around $45

Really...I looked in summit and they wanted around 80$ for one (TCI)...I will look around a little more...for 45$ I dont mind getting one new.

These cars take the 153 tooth single piece main seal plate?

Yup

I have a jeg Wheels on my car It is out of date(Stupid Rule IMHO) it only has half a season and 1,000 miles on it

The new Catalog company STAR has SFI plates for $45

Okay...great info thanks.

I'll take it a step further...I have a 383 LT1 in the car but I do not know if the motor is internally balanced or externally balanced. Im getting a vibration at high RPMs and some at about 2500-3k RPMs. I just replaced by driveshaft with a fully balanced unit so I know its not that (yes it does it even in nuetral).

How can I tell how the motor was balanced (internal or external)?

Ive taken the cover off where I can see the flexplate...dont remember seeing any wieght hanging off of it. How big of a wieght is it?? Should be able to see it if there was one right?

Im thinking I may have to understand what I have now in regards to the flexplate...and go the other way to see if that cures it. For instance...if the flexplate has no wieght...use a wieghted one....etc.

Where is the weight located on the flexplate...can I get to it without taking out the transmission? Thinking I can attempt to remove it without removing anything but the cover on the bottom of the bellhousing.
