Default cam dowel pin removal

I bought a custom grind cam for my LT1
it has the short (pre 95 pin) i want to put the longer one on .( I have 95 opti)

anyone ever did the swap himself ....

I clamped the pin in a table vise and knocked the cam off the pin with a hammer and block of wood. To install freeze the pin and heat the cam face hot to the touch. This makes it much easier for the pin to slid in and prevents mushrooming the end of the pin.
