Default Another what will it run thread...

ok well my times and mods r in my sig... they are only 8th mile times because the track closed the 1/4 down because of high crosswinds but they r my best 8th mile times... my best 1/4 is 13.31 with the same mods

ok so what do u think i will run next spring with the addition of a 3600 vig stall and a pro race rebuilt transmission from frank over at CPT? the goal is 12.9x what do u all think?

you should have no problems hitting 12s with a good stall, if you trapping 104mph or higher its doable, 3600 is a little high IMO i think 3000k or 3200 would be better.

it all depends on the converter brand how it stalls....etc. Some advertise an RPM in reality it will not stall at what it is rated at, especially when its brand new and not broken in. I've gone 1.78 on a 3.23 gear and a 2600stall full weight car with 17" tires, stock manifolds. I'm sure you can probably get in the low 1.7s high 1.6s with something little higher but have to think also torque peaks at 3600 rated when you mash on the gas you will be right there if not pass it, being right there is nice but i would rather be a couple of hundred rpm behind it, 3000-3200 is where its at for most lt1s once again you going to get a different result with how heavy you are+ your car and other things like gears and what kind of tire you running will also be in effect. 3600 shouldnt kill you especially not a bad choice if you consider doing a cam later as a cam will pick up your RPM band higher so you will need a higher stall conveter.
