High end miss, lets solve the problem. What could cause the problem of higher rpm opti skipping? Each time I replace an opti, the problem still persists in the higher rpm region. After each opti breaks, I examine the insides, and notice that the rotor completely broke off the two screws holding it in. I have done a ton of research, and found two answers to the problem.
A. put new screws to support the rotor, along with thread locker
B. ignition control module is shot
what makes the opti skip? is it the cam?is there too much pressure somewhere? anybody?
