Ltx Party???
Any plans for that? Please somebody in KC plan that. Otherwise, I may just have to drink my self into a stupor at a truck stop. Without the LT1 camardie that I really would like to have at this event. Or maybe I'll just gamble at on a river boat.
SERIOUSLY, could we have someone plan a social event for the participants? Please, Thanks.
I know I'm not the only local person on here so if anyone else has anything to add or suggest please do.
See you guys there!
Me personally, I never drink beer after an event unless I do good or bad.

However, the pits are typically a “green zone” for large quantity consumption! At most large race events (Power Aid, Lucas Oil, Summit Series) in the evenings you’ll find big cooks-out w/ beer, margarita machines and large social gatherings in the pits (a very important part of drag racing). It’s not unusual to see 30 or more golf carts (pit vehicles) parked at a party location in the pits.
Also, a very important part of drag racing is to have a bad-*** pit vehicle to make sure you can get to and from those big pit parties.

I am considering spending the night at the track to save on cost. Fuel alone is going to run me $450ish.
I only live 5 miles from the track, but I was planning on camping out there to party or whatever.
If there is enough people interested in staying in a hotel, I can continue working on the deal. It would be at the DoubleTree hotel in Overland Park, KS, about 24 miles from the track. Most of the big groups that come to town (Sy/Ty Nationals, Viper Club, etc) stay at this hotel. The rate would be approximately $89/night. This hotel is in a very good part of town, so the risk is slightly lower than a hotel you would find close to the track.
