Default good blower cam

I have a 383 built for turbo but i would like a cam that makes power to around 6500 or so. Any suggestions for this and i planned on running a 2800 - 3200 stall with an sts kit. I also have p & p lt4 heads and afr hydra rev kit to help support that kind of rpm. Thanks

I had that exact cam with LE2 heads and stock cubes... made peak power at 6000rpm and fell off quick after 6200rpm. That cam wont pull to 6500 with his cubes.

well mine pulls to 6500 like it's nothing! But it's a custom grind similar to the specs on your cam.

Yea, but the guy shut it off at 6000rpm. At 6000rpm my power curve is still climbing like yours is up to 5500. I guess I worded my last post wrong: I have never had the car to 6500 the rev limiter is set at 6300, but it will hit the rev limiter fast even with 3.42 gears. It feels like it will pull to 6500 with no problem, it never lays over just pulls strong. The guy that dynoed my car is a jew, so in all honesty I need to go to another dyno shop like LPE and get it dynoed again. I know when I put the 4.10 in this spring Im gonna have to set the limiter to 6500 or I wont be able to **** out of 1st gear without hitting the limiter.

Interesting. My car would pull hard to 6500rpm as well, but when I dynoed it i saw it fell off after 6200rpm, so there was no need for me to run it up that high.

In general, a 230/236 isnt typically going to make power to 6500rpm. I have seen ~20 dyno graphs of 230/236 cams (112LSA and 114LSA) and athey all made peak power at 6000rpm. Post your graph when you have time, I'd like to see the curve if possible. What springs did you use?

So the specs on your cam is about like my hotcam right? The LT4 hotcam has about a .550 or .560 lift. Mine pulls up to 6500 but its a pretty mild cam. Would this be good for a D-1 procharger? Just curious. Good ? OP.

Try .525.

To the OP, I would highly suggest a custom, especially with a stroker + FI. I would hit up a sponsor.
