it's easy and you will see no real gain for it, it just lowers the ambient air temp coming into the intake very slightly. It's considered a free mod, about like changing your thermostat, you will see little to no gain. Every dyno I've seen done from this mod gained maybe 1-2 rwhp tops.

the "how-to" is in here somewhere, search for it

Not that hard to do..just take the one off of the Radiator and run it straight into the Metal Line..don't even need any extra parts.

Not to hijack here but I have the engine out of the car right now and I was wondering if you could block off the holes on the back of the heads and get rid of that metal pipe altogether.

Not a good idea, it is there to remove air pockets. Without it you could get hotspots and crack the heads.

As far as the TBBP - although no HP gain, the idea is without it the car may run more consistant? again, I don't know it's ever been really proven?

To the Blocking question..real quick way to kill the Engine..

As far as Dyno Results..there is a guy that proved it with back-to-back runs a 7hp gain..something close to that..it is a definate gain, I wouldn't say it's not.

ok, wow, cool but the majority have gained very little on "average", looks like a handful have gained a slight amount that you'd never notice other than seat of your pants psychological horsepower.

I mean hey it's free, minor labor, go for it, I did it when I was starting out, can't hurt anything...

Only thing i've noticed was that the TB stays cooler, not sure on a hp gain for me, but my car made 356rwhp on G-Forces dyno cam only with a slipping trans....and it will run more consistantly more often

I think that's probably the reason most people think it doesn't gain them anything. Not very many people have done dyno runs directly before and after this mod, and even if it does get you 5-6, you probably wouldn't even notice the difference in that.

it basically comes down to whether you want hot coolant flowing through your throttle body. this time of year i might leave it since you're pretty far north but come spring id do it.

lol, you misunderstood. I was not saying don't do it. of course you should do it cause its free and you get at least some power with it.

I'm just saying that is the reason some people say its not worth it.
