gas mileage estimate

how many mpg should i be getting i have a 96 ss lt1 with longtubes ory and 3" exhaust with no cat. i reset my trip every time i fill up and i'm only getting 12.5 mpg average my exhaust smells like i'm trying to **** off the ozone layer. i have a right bank 02 sensor code i replaced the sensor but the scanmaster is still throwing a P0154(02 sensor ckt no activity bank 2 sensor 1) the mechanic who put in my new timing chain and oil pan gasket said that because i have no catalytic converter the air was passing the 02 sensor faster than it could read. i also have a P1441(manufacturer control auxillary emission controls) what causes a P1441. I have a Simulator in the 02 ckt for the cat.

Check the wireing. The no activivty is from there being no connection not a faulty or bad reading. No reading at all on that side would for sure cause it to be rich. As for the P1441 I have never had to deal with it.

your mechanic is an idiot. check the wiring to the right o2, might have burned through or gotten cut

well hes just a backwoods carburated vehicle kinda guy. hes alot better than the mechanic who replaced my timing gear the cam bolts backed out thats why i had to carry it to the 2nd mechanic in the first place.
