would they offer a good improvement on a stock motor or do i need more hp to benefit from these.

I didn't gain any noticable power from my 6AL. They claim better throttle response and fuel milage, but like I said I didn't notice a difference. I just wanted the better rev limiter (spark cutoff vs. fuel) that I could adjust without tunning.

The hotter and multiple spark of an MSD box is supposed to be the main helping sale point. I think they help more on carb setups than our more sophisticated EFI. If you have one laying around, chuck the thing in

spend your money elsewhere such as cai and a cutout or a torque converter if you are auto also gears help alot as well

cai i have ram air. and i already got a tci torque converter
