97 Z Fan Issues
97 Z Fan Issues My 97 Z28 is throwing P1641D and P1642A the fan 1 and fan 2 relay control circuits. Every one i read when u put the ac on the primary fan comes on. Mine dont. The relays are all good and i also replaced the coolant temp sensor what could the problem be? The fans are good also i can take the top off the relay and manually turn them on. What could the problem be?
Ive been studying the wiring diagram from chilton. Comes out of ECT to pcm, pcm reads temp and then comes out of pcm to fan relays, then from the relays to the fans. When i had the scanner on it it reads the temp of the car through the diagnostic port fine so i dont think its the pcm i think its from the pcm to the relays that theres something screwed up or from the relays to the fans? Im not sure. I would like to get it fixed its one of the only things keeping me from getting it tagged. I jumped the two top right plugs in the diagnostic port with a wire and the fans did not come on when the keep was turned to the on position. I dont know much on the wiring aspect of these LT1's can someone jump in and point me in the rite direction here?
