Probably in the low or mid 10s will be typical, but getting down the track everytime (round after round) will also be a big factor. I know several people that have hit a high 9 N/A one time and broke in the process.

Based on the "complete lack of posts" on this thread, I guess there just isn't too much interest in Heads-Up N/A. Possibly only you and I in the class.

I will be trying to run this class and the 6 speed heads up class. I think mid 10s will be competitive but the fastest guys will have to make it down the track consistantly.

Or, people want to hide their hand, or are afraid to post what they will run as to not being considered competeive.

If I make it I will be running this class, but in the high 11's as I doubt I'll have time to get my new motor togther in time to run this year.

If you can take a full weight street car thats cam only, you'll have me, but you better get a good light

I think there will be some mid's 10's but I don't think many of the 9 sec guys will bother with this class as they would be going for the outlaw title. This class might turn out to be a wide open class.

Hope fully high 10's will be competitive lol. I'm taking weight out and adding more gear, hopefully the weight added from the cage won't keep me from the high 10's.....

I bracket race a lot (about 30 NHRA races a season) and definitely know what it will run. Late last season it was running consistent 10.80s and 90s in good air. And that was with dual-open collectors, but I'll have to add some mufflers for the N/A class. But I may have a few more tricks-up-my-sleeve before I show up for the shoot-out. Also, I can lose a little more weight and still be in the N/A weight limit. First and foremost, I’m planning on getting down the track every round!

Wish I could make this one. I don't have an open weekend that whole month. There is an IHRA national event right here in Tulsa that same weekend.

PS: Engineer's car will go down the track same time, on time, everytime.

Most likely, but lets not jinx him. And it's a shame you can't make it. I really look forward to hearing the results of this meet.

Ed, thanks for the compliment! I really enjoyed racing and visiting with you and Ken last fall there in Tulsa. I'm also sorry to hear you won't be at the Shoot-Out, hopefully Ken can make it.

Looks like I'm running in this class only now....no 6 speed class for me. Consistentcy has allot to do with winning these races. The lsx shootout was a perfect example. I think one of the lower qualifying guys won the all motor class due to breakage of the faster cars.

That was the only weekend that month there was not an NHRA race I needed to make, then the IHRA schedule came out (finally) and the Tulsa national event (Skull Shine Sooner Nationals) is that weekend. I was wondering if I would have time (or the energy, 'cause I'm old) to put the 383" and it's rear gears back in time to go "up there", then change it all back for the next weekend. Guess IHRA answered that one. Hard to pass up a national event right here at home. Sounds like you guys are going to have a good time, wish I could make it.
