Default Knock and some issues with rebuild

Hey guys I hope someone here has some new ideas. I just finished putting the car back together with the mods in sig running a stock tune. The car is running pretty well, no check engine light or missing. However after a scan, I am seeing knock at really strange times. Sometimes at idle, it will be at 2 or 3 KR and sometimes it will be at zero. And when you accelerate, the KR may stay the same or go down. There was one time it was 3 at 10 percent throttle and stayed the same at 100 percent. It is just all over the place and it has spiked to 10 or 12 under no throttle cruising. I also noticed the left and right BLMs varied a lot as well. They stayed at 108 (minimum allowable) for a while but went as high as 128.

There also seems to be a lot of moisture coming out of the exhaust.

Does anybody have an ideas? Thanks

Have you checked for the usual causes of false knock yet? I fighting some knock issues myself right now.

I looked but can't see anything that appears to be causing false knock. No rattling of the exhaust or anything like that. The car has good oil pressure and runs cool. When the engine was stock, it had no knock after the LT4 KM but it did have some before the LT4 KM, which some people on the board here said was normal.

Anybody have any ideas what the moisture from the exhaust could be. It is clear and odor free, like water. The exhaust itself appears clean, even when revved up.

The moisture is exactly that, water, objects (especially exhausts) collect moisture within them. Now it shouldn't be a whole lot and if you have cats it will be a little more then without them but its nothing major to worry about. What about your rocker arms? How noisy are they, and really loud ticks coming from the engine bay? What all did you add since the rebuild? Might just need a tune

The rockers are Crower Stainless SA full rollers. They are noisy but not any louder than what others have described, but I don't know for sure if they are louder than they should be. It definitely needs a tune but should there be knock, at some times under no throttle, even with the factory tune?

Possibly, sometimes the KM needs to be desensitized even with the LT4 so yes it still could be the tune. I don't really understand the point of people getting the LT4 KM anymore since it all can be solved with a tune. good luck man

The lt4 km is still needed even with a tune...just ask Vince at Trifecta. There are many causes of Knock and False Knock. I suggest you do a google search. "Real" knock can be anything from spark plugs running too hot to superheated metal burrs can cause knock. I will see if I can find a link for you.

Pretty weird then i have 0 KR with SA rockers (that aren't quiet) and all my other mods with just a desensitized LT1 KM, as well as 4 other LT1's we've built.
