AS&M quality cannot be beat. Their stuff is like show pieces. I don't have their headers, but I run their TB and it can't even be compared to the holley's or summit branded TB's that I have used.

If their headers quality are anywhere near that then I doubt you will have a single complaint.

Great Headers, if I didn't get my Hooker LTs for so cheap, I would have gone with a set of those. They are really the only mid length header for the LT1 and other than a Long Tube the only other 1 3/4 primary choice. I have seen cars make great power with them as well, one was a stroker/blower Firehawk making 74XRWHP with a set of those on the car. Plus they have great ground clearance.

Thats right, they were also 1 3/4, I always cast them off as 1 5/8 like the Hookers and Mac.

I have them on my car as well. A little bit of a pain to install (but what headers aren't on an LT1 ) but performance gain was pretty nice. Don't pass them up if you have a chance on a nice set.

I read where some of you were impressed with AS&M mid-length headers. I just went to their website and a mid header wasnt listed for an LT1. Where did you guys get these? Have you seen any performance gain numbers for them?

I have the RK sport mids which are an AS&M knock off, both are very good. I got the RK's way cheaper.

Looking at the RK Sport website, they dont show any headers for 96 + LT1s. I assume it is because of the dual cats. If I planned on removing my cats, would the 95 and earlier versions work?

I'm not sure if it was due to my car being a 1993 or what, but I had a terrible experience with them. Nothing fit right with them. One of the bolts wouldn't even go through the header flange bolt hole because the primary pipe was too close to the hole. AS&M didn't want to hear about it. They told me that the problem was with my car and not their headers. Terrible customer service. This was a few years ago though, so they may have changed since then. Just my experience.
