lt1 build
lt1 build i have a 1995 camaro with a poopy little 3.4 I'm going this weekend or sometime very soon to pick up a used lt1. I'm getting an almost complete motor for $500. all i need is a tb, maf sensor, air pump (not essential) and ac compressor (also not essential) my question is while i have this engine out i want to build it up nice. i ordered crane gold 1.6 rrs the guy I'm getting from already put on lt4 valve springs and retainers. i will probably put in hardened pushrods, maybe change out the valves and new stem seals. i plan to pull the whole thing apart and change all the seals and bearings. my problem is I want a cam, i need suggestions as to what size/brand. i don't know anything about them. What are your guys opinions on the lt4 hot cam? or comp? what size would be good for dd street use? any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
