I am running a "vette servo" the billet servos can have applications but I would not be too quick to jump on that bandwagon till a full tranny build and even then only if looking to build one for serious power.
FWIW my tranny is over 4 years old 45K miles or so, in that time I have changed fluid/filter like 2-3 times and redrilled one seperator plate hole after I did the heads and cam. When installed though the car was already cammed so it has seen a lot of hard use. I hope to build a second tranny this winter ans shelve the current one as a spare, no problems sofar but given the abuse and hopes to add power in the future I want a fresh foundation.

Well, personally, my trans shifts with a fair kick to it. For an assumed 96K miles, it has way more shift firmness than I'd expect from it. Hell, I'd chirped 2nd on numerous occasions. I just has a pretty heavily built trans in my TPI car and miss that firm shift :\ That's why I figured a servo upgrade would help a bit. I don't have the luxury of upping line pressure with a cheap B&M box or a tune to the computer Other than more clutch packs or redrilling plate holes, I don't know of any other way to get more firmness than a servo :\
BTW are you sure even the 93 700R4s came with a Vette servo?
