Lt1 rebuild/mod guides
Hey, I was just intrested if anyone had like a full write up or guide on rebuilding an LT1. I know it works pretty much like a normal 350 and I can rebuild a SB gen 1 just fine. . . .I was just curious about torque specs and such for my lt1.
if there are'nt any decent guides than can someone give me some info on the book "How To Rebuild Small-Block Chevy LT1-LT4 Engines"? - is this a pretty good write up or am i just better off winging it? (i would imagine that would be a horrible idea since every little bit counts)

Frankly a book like that will be little more than a rough reference. The forums wont be much better, lots of guys with underperforming cars will be the loudest voices trying to help you.
On torque specs follow the fasteners recommendation for things like mains and heads and get a Helms Factory Service Manual for the rest.

That book is great. It is very detailed in the LT1. If your are going to buy it go to Amazon.com. It is a lot cheaper than Ebay. The only thing that is new to me is the torque method on the heads. Angle torque vs. the torque wrench.
