Default Lifter question pls

Stock 95 LT1...What lifters can I use?
I heard LS1 lifters will work. I heard LS7 lifters will work. I also heard Caddy lifters will work as well. What's the best "Bang for the buck" to go with?

If you are going back with roller lifters, just get a set of stock replacement lifters, I used some from gm performance parts and haven't had any issues.

Those are fine, but the LS7 lifter is designed for higher rpms and costs about the same they are pn 12499225.

Awesome. Thanks Gator
Your welcome bro, all I try to do is pass it on down. Better to ask now and get what you really want than to find out after you purchased it

Have you had any troubles with it?
Do I need to get 1.6 Rockers?
Bigger pushrods? Or do they just drop it?

So here is the deal. Anytime you can step up the rigidity of your valvetrain the better, you should ALWAYS use an adjustable length pushrod checker to ensure the geometry of your valetrain is spot on. Roller rockers will help with friction, and will increase the specs of the cam. If you go with NSA roller rockers you must use guideplates. Using guideplates requires the use of hardened pushrods. You may need a 7.1 pushrod, it all depends on your setup. These are very good lifters and are GMS version on the Comp R lifter. The stock GM replacements are a good unit as well, but IMHO if you are there to do an upgrade these are what I would and did use. I have no issues with mine whatsoever. Hope that helps.

Why are you looking to replace lifters?

Most of us just reuse our stockers long as there is no damage.
