Using only 1 knock sensor?

I have a 1996 lt1 obd II motor, it has been running on just one of the two knock sensors, could this cause any issues? I think it has been this was since I got the car, but I can't be sure.

There is only one knock sensor. Right side of engine block by the starter.

Yeah, the lt1's in the caprices used two knock sensors, probably got one out of one of those

or a buick... etc...

only the f-body LT1 had 1 knock sensor.

Has the pcm been scanned atall. My guess is that if the sensor was left out and the pcm not addressed this would cause some headaches like a limp mode.
