With a lot of patience! Just dont break the egr pipe like mine and have an exhaust leak for a long time. Take the alternator off to give you more room, remove the dip-stick, the starter and put it in from the bottom. I found that to be the best way to do it.

Mine was a real pain, I had full emissions headers. The EGR tube was the whole problem going in, it kept catching the firewall on the bracket. I just bent the EGR tube on the headers about half an inch in the direction it was already bent and the header fell right into place then, no problems...

hell i live in tennessee, the only reason i wiped mine down was cuz the motor was out of it at the timetheres my car w/ the 306 camshaft i had, now im running forged bottom end, ported heads w/ valve job and xfi 292 cam , its a hair louder now
of course my opti took a **** so its quiet as a mouse for the moment.
the Air pump is a couple ten mill bolts and you can get rid of of that ugly thing, no block off plates needed, if you take all the egr off then you need block off plates for the back of the intake.
