Default same car, same issues, but an idea

so car in my sig(ive made threads before), the cars gauge reads 0 oil pressure, and if the car is running the valvtrain is loud and obnoxious. the previous owner(2 days before he sold it to me) switched the car over to royal purple 5w30(synthetics of course ) and before the car had no issues as far as oil is concerned. now the idea is, i believe that when the oil was switched to synthetics, it broke down some of the grim inside of the pan or on the pump drive, causing either the oil pump to clog or the pump drives gears to be sheared. ive already drained the oil(very clean), switched it to some 10w40 and the car still has the loud valvetrain and no pressure.

now i know not to run the car or else my bearing will end up shot. but i do wanna get to the bottom of things...

First. Hook up an analog oil pressure guage and make sure that you truely do not have oil pressure. The stock guage is notorious for giving bogus readings.

i know it has no pressure, i tried to adjust the rockers and no oil came out. also a guy locally said it could possibly be a lifter but im hesitant due to this not happening up until the oil change...
