I told you contact "the engineer" and ask him about the rpm range and valvetrain requirements. He is happy with it AND will support my statements on the revs and springs.

I barely commented on my opinion of this cam.

hell I went back and looked and you were in the threads where The Engineer discusses how high he needs to rev his 396 for it and the valvetrain issues.

Can't help those who refuse to be helped but hopefully the information will stop someone else from making the same mistake.

I know it is not the ego stroking you are getting from everyone else but this is a far more useful post.

I will admit I think using that cam atall is a mistake but if you do not believe my comments on the rpm range and springs look up posts by "the Engineer" he is running this in a 396 and is happy and will confirm my comments on rpm and springs even with his added displacement bringing the rpm range down, these problems will be exagerated for you with the smaller displacement.
Be a lot easier to address now than after the car is running.

and honestly i know what the cam is i know the specs are low but its what i wanted!

Exactly everythings a mistake to you unless you recommended it. I forgot. Thanks for your awesome analysis. What would we all do without you?

what rpm did it peak at? immpressive numbers car should move out very nicely. Im running the 280xfi on my car feels really strong no times yet, i got slammed alot for choosing it but its what I wanted to try, not many have tried the xfi line so there really is little info about it, I do not understand how some people (96caprice) can slam them so much when they have not personally tried them. otherwise numbers sound really good for a 355
